BRIEF HISTORY

In 2005 after graduating from Gary Whetstone School of Biblical Studies, I launched the Kamau Evangelistic Ministries, and had it registered with the Registrar of Societies of the Kenyan government, with the purpose of teaching, training, and mentoring others to live by faith in God’s Word, learn of Him and His desire to bless His people, and then be distributors of that blessing.

Prior to launching the Kamau Evangelistic Ministries, I worked for the governments of Kenya, and Zambia in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry for 14 years. Later, I moved to the Oil Industry as a senior manager where I worked for 18 years.

From my childhood and up until 1989, I was a zealous and active member of the Roman Catholic Church. In August 1989 while still in the Roman Catholic Church, I got born again and filled with the Holy Spirit and joined the Catholic Charismatic Renewal Movement. In 1990, I attended a Catholic evangelization school in Morogoro, Tanzania under the auspices of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal, conducted by Fr. Rufus Pereira, a Jesuit priest from Bombay India and a former secretary of the International Catholic Charismatic Renewal, based in Rome. After this evangelization training, we were commissioned by the then Catholic bishop of Morogoro Tanzania, to go out and evangelize among the Catholics. For a period of 6 years, I was actively involved in evangelization outreaches among the Roman Catholics, where thousands of Catholics in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania were born again and filled with the Holy Spirit. While still working in the Oil Industry, I continued to actively evangelise among the Catholics, under the power of the Holy Spirit. It is at this time when I sensed the call of God and actively began to evangelize the Gospel wherever I went.

In August 1994 when my wife who was also a staunch Roman Catholic, was born again at the Morris Ceruro crusade at Pangani, Nairobi, we moved out of the Catholic church and joined the Pentecostal churches. In January 1995, we officially joined the Victory Faith International Church, which was under Jerry Savele International Ministries, led by pastors Wade and Carla Porter. We continued to be trained in the ministry work, and in November 2003, I was ordained as a minister of the Gospel by the above-mentioned pastors and sent out to evangelise the Word.

After retiring from the oil industry in 1999, I went to the Gary Whetstone School of Biblical Studies to get equipped and grounded with Biblical and ministerial training for effective full-time Christian ministry.
